Description
Titania (TiO2) nanotubes were developed by electrochemical anodization method. The
crystalline phase of TiO2 nanotubes annealed at different temperatures was identified by X-ray
diffraction. Anatase phase TiO2 started revealing at 300 ºC and pronounced at 500 ºC
indicating the better crystallinity of TiO2 nanotubes. Photocatalysis activity of TiO2 nanotubes
in methylene blue solution was also examined under UV light irradiation. High temperature
annealed TiO2 nanotubes improved the photodegradation of methylene blue in aqueous
solution.
