Abstract
The development of cellulose-chitosan composite hydrogel films is important in repair and regeneration of tissue. In this study, cellulose was extracted from coconut coir fiber via acid hydrolysis, alkali treatment and chlorite bleaching. Chitosan was prepared from crab shell by demineralization, deprotenization and deacetylation. The lithium chloride/N,N-dimethylacetamide (LiCl/DMAc) solvent system was used to obtain cellulose-chitosan composite hydrogel solutions.
