A community\nbased cross-sectional descriptive study design was used. A total of 160 caregivers were\ninterviewed by face to face. Data was collected by using structured questionnaire. This\nstudy found that the majority of the respondents had good knowledge about special\neducation needs. Most of the respondents also had the good perception and 100%\ninfluence on making decision and 100% support for their child’s special education. There\nwas statistically significant association between knowledge and perception score for\nspecial education and gender and family income per month.
