The study recommend that ISM should focus on personality traits and\r\nemotional intelligence aspects of each expatriate teacher to achieve more authentic\r\nperformance. This study seeks to examine the effect of personality traits on emotional intelligence and to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence on job performance of the expatriate teachers at International School of Myanmar (ISM) in Yangon. The date are collected from 75 expatriate teachers at ISM in Yangon with structured questionnaire. According to the results of study, among five personality traits, extroversion, conscientiousness and agreeableness positively affect emotional intelligence.
