Description | ||||||
This study focuses on the effect of psychological empowerment on organizational commitment among employees of KBZ Bank, Myanmar, in the context of a rapidly evolving financial sector. The primary objectives are to identify psychological empowerment practices at KBZ Bank. The study adopts a quantitative research method. Data are collected from a representative sample of 387 employees, selected through a simple random sampling method. Statistical analyses are conducted to assess the effect of the four dimensions of psychological empowerment—meaning, competence, self-determination, and impact and organizational commitment. Findings reveal a significant positive effect between psychological empowerment and organizational commitment among KBZ Bank employees. Specifically, employees who perceive higher levels of self-determination, competence, and meaningfulness in their roles exhibit stronger organizational commitment. The study suggests that enhancing empowerment practices can foster greater employee engagement, loyalty, and retention. It is recommended that KBZ Bank and similar organizations implement targeted empowerment initiatives, such as leadership development programs and participative decision-making processes, to further strengthen workforce commitment. |
