A simple random sampling technique was used to collect 145 members from 219 members of the study society. A structured questionnaire was used to obtain information on the membership and factors regarding to assess the impact of the cooperative societies. Descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analyses were used in this study. It was seen that employees was not only to save money in the society but also the saving and credit cooperative society play a very important role in providing credit at the correct time at an affordable rate of interest. According to these findings from the analysis results can be concluded the objectives of the study. Firstly, the saving and credit co-operative society affect members’ social and economic wellbeing. Secondly, monthly salary earners increase their purchasing power after becoming a member of cooperative society. Finally, there is the relationship between purchasing power and social \u0026 economic wellbeing of members. Today microfinance institutions such Co-operatives are need in Myanmar. Cooperatives can ensure the fullest possible participation in the economic and social development of all people.
