In the present paper, the stopping power due to ionization and excitation for (8-MeV) p, d, t, α particles moving in nuclear emulsion is calculated. From the calculations, it is found that the quite difference in the value of stopping power for an alpha versus a proton, a deuteron and a triton of the same kinetic energy traversing the nuclear emulsion.
