The export of fisheries products is increasing because the area\nof fish ponds were expanded due to the freshwater fisheries law enacted in 1991. A\ngovernment should make the policy which encourages more investment in the\nproduction must provide the infrastructure such as electricity which is key for cold\nstorage in the fish value chain to promote fishery exports of Myanmar. In Myanmar,\nthe Livestock and Fishery sector is the fourth largest after agriculture, trade and\nprocessing and manufacturing.
