The objective of the study\nis to assess knowledge and awareness, and perception of depression among young\nadults in the Yangon region. In this study, 224 young adults were collected randomly,\nand the questionnaires were administered through both face-to-face interviews and\nonline surveys with a Google form. The knowledge, awareness and perception of\ndepression were assessed by using the Myanmar version of questionnaires. The\nsecondary data was collected from the Ministry of health and sport and WHO websites.\nThe study reveals that over 50% of young adults answered correctly in 54% of\nknowledge and awareness of depression questions. Over 50% of young adults answered\ncorrectly in 72% of perception of depression questions. However, there are some\nweaknesses in knowledge, awareness and perception.
