From the analysis, 172 IT shops which keep inventory in their shops are randomly selected by using simple random sampling method. The data are collected through structured questionnaires. According to the findings, cost barrier and owners’ / managers’ attitude have positively effect on purchasing, inventory accuracy and stockout of inventory management. Contextual factor like owners’ / managers’ knowledge is highly significant effect on controlling of inventory management. In addition, the result shows that inventory management factors such as purchasing, inventory accuracy and stockout have significantly positive effect on firm performance of IT shops in Yangon.
