The study used descriptive\nmethod supported primary and secondary data. Key informant interview was conducted\nwith total 25 of government officials and private investors. The study found that the\nprivate sector participation within the electricity generation sector plays a\nvital role within the development of the country. Additionally, the private sector\nparticipation within the electricity generation projects has both benefits and\nchallenges; therefore the government has to provide good management.
