The SWOT\nanalysis method is used to achieve the research objectives. The opportunities of the\nsustainable logging system of Myanmar are sustainable job creation, maintaining the\ndiversity of plants, monopoly power for log extraction and marketing. The challenges\nof the sustainable logging system are deforesting, illegal logging and global warming.\nAlthough Myanmar is rich in forest resource, there is a lack of wood-based industry\npolicy in Myanmar and is also a gap of wood-based technology. It is recommended\nthat the government needs to focus on the effective reform of the forestry sector,\nbeginning with the need for more transparent information for decision-making and\nholding officials.
