The tectonic setting of\nMyanmar Region is related to the subduction of the northeast moving Indian Plate\nbeneath the Sibumsu that initially activated at the Mesozoic. In the area, the feature of\nstrike is a regional overthrust with a sinous outline, running N-S. The type of folds are\nMyebon and Pondaung anticlines of younging downward antiforms and Son-baw-aing\nsyncline of younging upward synform.
