Special Economic Zones are long-term economic investments that\nhelp the country create jobs and prosper rapidly. The objectives of the study are to study\nthe current job situation of Thanlyin and Kyauktan Townships and to examine job\nopportunities of the Thilawa SEZ for the local communities. In this study, using the\ndescriptive method of simple random sampling, a sample size of 500 respondents from\nsix companies and the Thilawa SEZ Management Committee were selected. This study\nfound that the growth of the Thilawa Special Economic Zone in Thanlyin and Kyauktan\ntownships has a direct effect on the employment prospects and living environment of\nthe native population. Thilawa SEZ\u0027s working conditions are also better than those in\nsimilar jobs in the rest of the economy in terms of social security benefits,\ntransportation, health care, food, working environment, and working space.
