Socioeconomic characteristics of farmers and input of contract farming were collected from 254 sample farmers using structured questionnaire. In this study, appropriate statistical analysis such as descriptive statistics, independent t test analysis and multiple regression are used. More than three-quarters of respondents have experience with contract farming in these tow townships. Based on the findings, it was found that contract farming strategy is more likely to have higher paddy yield by comparing with traditional farming method.
