The specific objectives are to identify the HRM practices used in CB Bank and explore the effective human resource practices for retaining the staffs in CB Bank. To analyze the human resource management practices of CB Bank, the descriptive and analytical research methods are used. The data concerning human resource management practices are collected from (41) administrative staffs of CB Bank in Yangon. In the recruitment and selection practices, most respondents have chance to ask work related information about the applied job, know the duty of job before selection, and match their jobs with stated in job description. In the training practices, most respondents get the training they needed to do job, obtain the systematic training programme, and acquire on the job training and off the job training. In the performance appraisal practices, the performance appraisal method of CB Bank is accurate and can reflect employees\u0027 performance. The performance evaluation system is fair or equal. In the rewards and benefits practices, most employees recognize that the wages are fair for their responsibilities, and know criteria used to decide pay increase. In the health and safety practices, CB Bank sets safety programmes for the job. CB Bank arranges physical fitness programme and teaches equipment used in job related to employees. Human resource management practices create employee satisfaction, employee retention and employee loyalty. These practices can motivate an individual above-average performance and effort.
