Description
In recent years, the trend of the industry has been significantly changing and reforming a new industrial form “Industry 4.0”. Since it is linked to high technology, real-time data processing, and high cyber systems, updating and upgrading the appropriate programmes and curriculums in the field of education is a crucial role to develop a qualified workforce. Since the wave of Industry 4.0 is inevitably strong, Myanmar also has initiated the awareness to develop the country to match with the other countries surrounding to create an inclusive digital economy. The paper presents the current situation of industry in Myanmar and the possible challenges and strategies in implementing Education 4.0 in Engineering Universities to respond to the needs of Industry 4.0. The study discusses identifying the requirements for the education industry while moving forwards towards Education 4.0 in parallel with the Industry 4.0 environment. The future challenges in the transition from current paradigm of academic education to the Education 4.0 paradigm are also discussed.
