The aim of the research paper is to improve the English ability of engineering students in their reading skill through teaching vocabularies and to suggest some effective teaching strategies of teaching vocabularies. This research was done by using descriptive quantitative method. Data are collected by using questionnaires for the students and discussed with English language teachers.
