Employee engagement becomes the most important factor in higher education sector. However, few studies have been conducted in this research area in Myanmar. This study is mainly focused on the relationship between leadership styles and employee engagement. In addition, mediating roles of job resources and personal resources were also investigated. Quantitative research method was used in this study and descriptive analysis and inferential statistics had been used to explain the relationship among variables. Path analysis with structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed to model the complex relationship between the leadership styles, engagement behaviors, job resources and personal resources. The results show that different leadership styles have different effects on employee engagement, job resources, and personal resources. Mediating roles of job resources and personal resources between leadership styles and employee engagement were examined in this study.
