Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Primary data were collected with semi-structured interview questions on teaching and administrative staff, officers from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, parents, and ward administrators from eight monastic schools. This study was found that key strength of monastic schools is providing free education system. Weaknesses are inadequate finances, teachers, classrooms, facilities, and teaching aids. Teachers from monastic schools have opportunity to develop their teaching skills and abilities and monastic schools have active volunteers for students’ health care. The growth of monastic schools, lack of family, and inadequate government supports are threatening the future of monastic schools.
