This study is used descriptive method by using questionnaire to collect the data from 200 local people in Than Lyn township and Kyauk Tan township. It is found that, some people work in Thilawa SEZ and some have a plan to invest in or near SEZ, some are worrying about the environmental issues but some local people are welcoming the implementation of SEZ by hoping job opportunities and economic wellbeing for their local community.
