The pretest-posttest research design is used to work out this research. The selected students have participated in testing two times. As a result, there is a significant improvement in the second test. The score they have got is much better than the first time. But there has still remained the limitation. The main difficulties through these tests are that they cannot use a wide range of lexical resources and linking words. Some techniques are implemented in this research to enhance argumentative writing skill of the first year students.
