The calculated results are compared with those of non-bulbous\nbow ULBS models. The wave making resistance coefficient results of\nULBS models with bulb appear to reduce in the case of full load condition\nbut increase in the case of ballast condition. The purpose of the present paper is to investigate the
effect of protruded bows on the wave resistance of slowly moving full hull
forms. For this purpose, a new concept of cargo ship which is called Ultra
