Crabs were\ncollected by aid of local crab hunters from these study area. A total of 32 crab\nspecies belonging to 14 families of order Decapoda were recorded from San\nHlan coastal areas. In all of the 32 crab species,20 species were found in marine\nand mangrove area four species in sand area, seven species in mudflat area and\nonly one species found in crevices of rock area. The recorded of 19 species were\ncaught by beach seine net and 12 species were carried out by hand collection.\nOnly one species Scylla serrata was collected by crab trab. Five species,\nCalappa bilineata,Matuta victor,Scylla serrata,Portunus pelagicus and Portunus\nxantusii were economically important,some were exported to neighbouring\ncountries.
