This study used the descriptive method based on combines quantitative cross-sectional survey data and qualitative in-depth interviews. The survey has included 31 questionnaires and mainly intended to mothers who 18-40 years old, with at least six months alive child within last two years. This survey was conducted in 304 mothers from urban and rural areas of Pya-Pon District. As a matter of fact in rural and urban area, public health workers (midwives and public health volunteers) are one factor of the important vital roles to assist for the success of exclusive breastfeeding program. This study provides important insight into the practices and association factors for women in Myanmar.
