The role of the relationship between the teacher and his pupil play an important part. This paper aims for pupils to choose and serve right and proper teachers and to be good pupils as Buddha desires. Moreover, the paper aims for teachers to become good teachers who are fully endowed with rules of conduct and responsibilities of teachers. The solution to the problem is to make an effort for helping to develop educational standards. In this case both the teacher and the pupil take part in it. In this respect the Buddhistic philosophy of the relationship between the teacher and his pupil is stated. In doing so, contemporaneous conditions are treated according to the excerpts from Pāḷiand Buddhistic classical literature. The descriptive method is applied.
