The prepared sorbent\nsamples (NBP, AANBP-2 and HTNBP-4) were characterized by modern techniques\nsuch as SEM and FT IR. The sorption capacities of prepared NBP, AANBP-2,\nHTNBP-4 were studied for the removal of dye (malachite green) from aqueous\nsolution with varying parameters of pH, initial concentration of dye solution, contact\ntime and dosage of adsorbent. The removal percent of malachite green was found to\nbe 92.881 %, 93.880 %, 95.828 % for NBP, AANBP-2 and HTNBP-4 at optimum\nconditions (pH 4, initial concentration 400 ppm, contact time 120 min and dosage of\nadsorbent 0.2 g). Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms were employed to describe\nadsorption capacities. In the sorption isotherm studies, Langmuir isotherm indicated\nthat the sorption capacities (Q0) of NBP, AANBP-2, HTNBP-4 were 370.370 mg g-1,\n384.615 mg g-1 and 400.000 mg g-1 for the removal of malachite green respectively.\nFrom the Freundlich isotherm studies, the sorption capacity (Kf) of HTNBP-4 is\nlarger than NBP and AANBP-2 for the removal of malachite green. The application\nof sorbents were investigated for the removal of textile dyes from textile mill effuents\ncollected from drainage of textile mill in North Dagon Township, Yangon Region.\nThe removal percent of textile dye by NBP, AANBP-2 and HTNBP-4 were observed\nas 55.662 %, 65.470 % and 81.100 %.
