In our culture, majority of student described that their parents practise authoritative parenting style. Authoritarian parenting style is second most practised in our culture, according to the results of this study. In comparison between a group of 44 students from authoritarian parenting home and group of 182 students from authoritative parenting home, the present study found that the former group was more cynical, lower in life- satisfaction, and hardiness than the latter group.
