Deciding to offload some computing tasks\nor not is a way to solve the limitations of battery life and\ncomputing capability of mobile devices. Application\noffloading is energy efficient only under various\nconditions for determining where/which code should be\nexecuted. This paper presents a Computational\nOffloading Decision Algorithm (CODA) , to save the\nbattery life of mobile devices, taking into account the\nCPU load, state of charge, network bandwidth and\ntransmission data size. The system can take decision\nwhich method should be offloaded or not based on\ndifferent context of the mobile device to obtain minimum\nprocessing cost. Numerical study is carried out to\nevaluate the performance of system.
