Diversity of bird species were observed at Lakanandar Wildlife Sanctuary, Bagan, Nyaung U Township, Mandalay. Survey was conducted from January 2019 to December 2019. Birds were collected from four allocated study sites by using point count method. A total of 133 species of birds belonging to 95 genera, 50 families and 15 orders were recorded. Among the total bird species recorded 91 species were terrestrial birds and 42 species were waterbirds.
