The first order Markov Chain is exploited as principle in order to predict the expected rainfall intervals by using probabilities matrices. The intervals were assumed to treat as probabilities states and the frequency distribution of these intervals are substituted as transactional probability matrices. To exploit the application area of the model, Pyapon Town in Ayeyarwaddy Division, Republic of the Union of Myanmar was used as case study. The eight-year historical rainfall records in Pyapon were utilized as parameters in the model.
