All the mineral projects in Myanmar are undertaken by state-owned, joint venture and private mining companies. Among these mineral projects the \"Sabetaung Kyinsintaung Mine, in short, S\u0026K Mine\", which is undertaken by \"Myanmar Ivanhoe Copper Company Limited (MICCLY\", is a very systematic mineral project that develops with the concepts of environmental responsibility in Myanmar. The main objective of this research paper is to promote environmentally responsible mineral projects that develop within the limit of minimizing adverse impacts and maximizing positive benefits to the natural environment and local communities in Myanmar and other ASEAN countries. This work on one hand determines the major environmental impacts due to \"S\u0026K Mine\" in Myanmar and on other hand examines and evaluates the environmental performances of MICCL to minimize these environmental impacts. The evaluation results of the environmental performances of MICCL are presented and the other factors that should be considered to ensure environmental responsible mineral project for \"S\u0026K Mine\" are proposed.
