The design adopted in this study was posttest\nonly control group design of experimental research. The independent\nsamples t-test was used to compare whether there were significant\ndifferences between two groups. The result showed that the students who\nreceived the treatment by using discussion method were significantly\nbetter than those who received formal instruction in BEHS, San Chaung\n(t = 6.015, df = 58, MD = 7.8, p \u003c .001) and in BEHS, Insein (t = 5.088,\ndf = 58, MD = 5.8, p \u003c .001) Research findings revealed that teaching by\ndiscussion method had a positive contribution to the improvement of\nChemistry teaching.
