Description
Distributed Database has been used as themost essential technology for business organizationsin recent years. The data allocation is a critical issuein distributed database design. Allocation of dataamong different sites across the network effects onthe performance of the distributed database system. The static allocation supports only limited responseto the change in workload. This paper proposes ahybrid strategy for non-replicated dynamic fragmentsallocation in distributed database system. Theproposed hybrid algorithm is modified by usingselective concepts of Threshold Time Volume andDistance Constraints algorithm and Region basedFragment Allocation algorithm. This algorithmmodifies Threshold Time Volume and DistanceConstraints algorithm by considering a concept ofregion instead of distance factors. It reallocatesfragment with respect to the average maximum datavolume of that region access to fragment instead ofconsidering the high frequency of individual site. Itwill reduce the migration of the fragment overdifferent sites and also improve the overallperformance of the system.
