Extensible Markup Language (XML) Schemadocuments (XSD) play an important role in softwaredevelopment process and need to be qualified withsoftware qualities. A good quality design of XSDincreases software productivity and minimizedevelopment time. In this respect, there are manyqualities: maintainability, reusability, understandability, extensibility and so on. Amongthese qualities, this paper focuses on two qualities:extensible and reusable qualities and proposes twometrics to measure these qualities of schemadocuments based on Entropy method. Moreover, dueto the defined maximum and minimum values foreach quality metric, the proposed metrics canmeasure the specified quality. Therefore, the metricscan provide valuable information for improving thequality of XML based systems. The usefulness of thepresent metrics is empirically proved through actualtest cases. | ||||||
