Peoplewho talk about software may be thinking about thestructure of a program, the functionality of an applicationsystem, the look and feel of an interface or the overalluser experience with a hardware-software environment.Software engineering spans both new softwaredevelopments and the maintenance of legacy systems,each software life cycle phase bringing its own context ofunderstanding about what matters, what can be designed,and what tools and methods are appropriate.Software engineering has become a very broad fieldof study; consequently the skills necessary to successfullywork in this area thirty years ago may no longer apply.For instance, software design has become more thanmanipulating formal or semi-formal notations, butrevolves around the interaction between designers andusers; namely, the designer’s perception of what the userwants, and the user’s perception of what he/she reallyneeds. Nowadays, successful software is developed aftera tremendous amount of time has been spent with the userin the form of prototyping, experimentation and feedback.This is the proper life cycle of any useful softwaresystem.Research relating personality styles to softwareengineering has been both scattered and difficult tointerpret uniformly. It may be that the relation betweensoftware engineering and personality styles is toocomplex to investigate. For instance, it may be thatcertain personality traits such as introversion/extraversionhave a great impact on system analysis, but not so muchon other phases. Thus, studies to determine whichpersonality profiles are more attracted to what activitiesrelated to software development are of paramountimportance. This article represents an important steptowards a theory that links software engineering andpersonality styles."}]}, "item_1583103108160": {"attribute_name": "Keywords", "attribute_value": []}, "item_1583103120197": {"attribute_name": "Files", "attribute_type": "file", "attribute_value": []}, "item_1583103131163": {"attribute_name": "Journal articles", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_issue": "", "subitem_journal_title": "Tenth International Conference On Computer Applications (ICCA 2012)", "subitem_pages": "", "subitem_volume": ""}]}, "item_1583103147082": {"attribute_name": "Conference papers", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_acronym": "", "subitem_c_date": "", "subitem_conference_title": "", "subitem_part": "", "subitem_place": "", "subitem_session": "", "subitem_website": ""}]}, "item_1583103211336": {"attribute_name": "Books/reports/chapters", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_book_title": "", "subitem_isbn": "", "subitem_pages": "", "subitem_place": "", "subitem_publisher": ""}]}, "item_1583103233624": {"attribute_name": "Thesis/dissertations", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_awarding_university": "", "subitem_supervisor(s)": [{"subitem_supervisor": ""}]}]}, "item_1583105942107": {"attribute_name": "Authors", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_authors": [{"subitem_authors_fullname": "Capretz, Luiz Fernando"}]}]}, "item_1583108359239": {"attribute_name": "Upload type", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"interim": "Publication"}]}, "item_1583108428133": {"attribute_name": "Publication type", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"interim": "Article"}]}, "item_1583159729339": {"attribute_name": "Publication date", "attribute_value": "2012-02-28"}, "item_1583159847033": {"attribute_name": "Identifier", "attribute_value": "http://onlineresource.ucsy.edu.mm/handle/123456789/2259"}, "item_title": "Software Development and Personality Traits", "item_type_id": "21", "owner": "1", "path": ["1597824273898"], "permalink_uri": "http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12678/0000004320", "pubdate": {"attribute_name": "Deposited date", "attribute_value": "2019-09-25"}, "publish_date": "2019-09-25", "publish_status": "0", "recid": "4320", "relation": {}, "relation_version_is_last": true, "title": ["Software Development and Personality Traits"], "weko_shared_id": -1}
