They mativate both thestudents qnd the teachers. The presenter u,plores thepossibilities ofutilizing the video clips for languageteaching at tertiary level. Several video clips areselected and the content-bqsed approach is used nteachfirstyear students at the University of ComputerStudies, Panglong. The video clips are used not onlyto teach language but also to release it from thestudents repertoire. The tasks are carefully plannedbeforehand and the students\u0027 btowledge of thevocabulary and npic are checked. Sqeral taslcs suchas video review, alternative ending, and summarywriting are given.
