Physical activity is an essential component ofa healthy lifestyle. It is clear that physicallyactive people have a lower disease risk thansedentary individuals. Thus the measurement forphysical fitness becomes the subject of currentresearch interest. Fitness defines as the “Theability to carry out daily tasks with vigor andalertness, and with ample energy to enjoyleisure-time pursuits and to meet unforeseenemergencies.” And Physical working capacity isthe best measure of fitness. Therefore, a model isproposed to measure the physical fitness byestimating physical working capacity. By usingthis model, the value of fitness (PWC) can bepredicted approximately. In this paper, the fitnessvalue is calculated by the relational PWC whichis the PWC value divided by the weight. Theproposed fitness survey is implemented by theuse of multiple linear regression to predict thephysical fitness (PWC value) as the dependentvariable by defining the relevant physicalparameters such as lung capacity, resting heartrate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic bloodpressure, breath holding, coordination ofmovement, weight and height ratio (WHR),motor response, shoulder girdle muscle (spin),flexibility of the spine, abdominal muscle (press)and squat as independent variables. Theproposed model will give the physical activitieswhich are the most related to the fitness and ifthese are made as regular practice, there will have more productivity. | ||||||
