Repeat full blood count tests were requested not only with the usual\u0026nbsp;anticoagulant EDTA (Ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid) but also with heparin as well as with\u0026nbsp;citrate. EDTA-dependent pseudothrombocytopenia was diagnosed which can be confused\u0026nbsp;with other life-threatening platelet disorders.
