Callus induction percentage\r of responsive genotypes varied from 0.1-2.6%. Green plant formation from the\r regenerated calli varied from 6.3-37.0%. Among parents, Yar-8 and Shwe Man-1\r gave the highest callus induction and green plant formation. Cross involving Yar-8 as\r female parent, Yar-8 x Thee Htat Yin increased callusing and green plant formation\r ability. These three genotypes (Yar-8, Shwe Man-1 and cross of Yar-8 x Thee Htat\r Yin) produced green plants. The anther-derived plants of these three genotypes were\r haploid and double haploid.
