The molecular formula of unknown compound could be determined by some modem spectroscopic methods such as infrared, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance, 13C nuclear magnetic resonance, DEPT (Distortionless Enhancement by Polarization Transfer), HSQC (Heteronuclear Single Quantum Coherence) and Mass spectroscopic methods.
