This study found that the major source of noise in Kamayut Township is noises from car with 48% of respondents, because it is one of the downtown urban areas with crowded transport network in Yangon. It also found that the psychological health of the respondents due to noise pollution is more affected than the physical health effect. In term of awareness, the results showed less awareness since 63% of the respondents think noise pollution cannot have a serious effect on health, 75% of the respondents have never discussed about noise pollution and 63% of the respondents do not know there are rules and regulations to control noise pollution.
