Improvement in rural road connectivity not only assures the development but also accelerate the process of development of a region. The objective of the study is to identify the current status of rural road infrastructure development in Kyauktan Township and to analyze the effect of rural road development on living standard of households. In this study, descriptive method is used. It is found that a large number of rural road miles have been constructed during the period of 2012- 2018 in Kyauktan Township. Rural road construction had significant indirect impacts on general level of economic development in each of the study area. More infrastructure investments are needed in transportation and communication sector in Kyauktan Township.
