This study mainly used descriptive method by using\nprimary and secondary data. Primary data were collected from 150 respondents who\nare living onshore of Yangon riverbank by using simple random sampling method.\nThe findings indicate that water pollution negatively affect socioeconomics\nconditions, and health conditions of the respondents. The findings also emphasize\nthat water pollution not only undermines environmental sustainability but also leads\nto economic burdens, livelihood insecurity, and serious health challenges for local\ncommunities. The findings also highlight that poor water quality contributes to\nincreased medical expenditures and negative affects household income by reducing\nproductivity.
