Archways are adorned with as decoration lotus flower, lotus bud, lotus petal, diamond, circle plate, dots, floral arabesques etc. And the figures of nat, ogre, bird, serpent, owl, crocodile, lion, peacock, mythical animals, etc. are found on archway as worship and protection. Most of the stucco archways are damaged because of natural disasters. In this paper, some obvious features of archways such as different styles of archway, ornamentation or guardian figures are described. The aim is to know the various types and designs of archways from temples in Bagan.
