The research aims to assess the present state of \nthe Elephant Foot Yam or Wa-U industry in Midat Township and examine the key elements \nthat impact the sustainable agricultural practices of farmers engaged in cultivating Elephant \nFoot Yam or Wa-U in the same area. This review employs a descriptive methodology. This \nwork utilizes both primary and secondary data. The collection of main data involves \nconducting field research and interviews with 175 Wa-U producers in Mindat Township \nusing the basic random sample technique. A structured questionnaire using a 5-point Likert \nscale is used to evaluate the perspectives of Wa-U producers about their comprehension of \nagricultural methods, access to financing, training of farmers, obstacles, and sustainable \nagricultural practices. The study also analyzes the sustainable agriculture practices of Wa\nU growers. It is found that Wa-U growers have some knowledge about sustainable farming. \nOn the other hand, there are some factors that hinder them to practice sustainable agriculture \npractices. Wa-U growers have a low level of credit access at their region and some kinds \nof challenges such as pests and diseases that destroy firms. And, there is weak quality \ncontrol practice and lack of technology for finished goods.
