A crosssectional\nstudy is conducted with 135 healthcare workers from five private hospitals\nand two Defence Services General Hospitals across various radiation application\ndepartments. Key findings show that most respondents have a high level of awareness,\nwhile the rest have a moderate level, with none displaying poor awareness. However,\nthere are notable gaps in understanding radiation protection principles, differentiating\nbetween stochastic and deterministic effects, and recognizing the significance of dose\nin assessing radiation severity. The analysis of respondents' compliance with radiation\nprotection practices reveals general adherence but identifies significant inconsistencies,\nunderscoring the need for targeted education on the importance of these safety\nmeasures. By addressing these gaps and strengthening support systems, healthcare\nfacilities can enhance radiation safety practices and ensure better protection for\nhealthcare workers exposed to radiation. Continuous education through periodic\ntraining, updated guidelines, and accessible protective resources is essential for\npromoting safety and mitigating risks associated with radiation exposure."}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2024-09-30"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"Su Su Kyaw EMPA-37, 19th batch.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"594 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_0","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/9897/files/Su Su Kyaw EMPA-37, 19th batch.pdf"},"version_id":"4b53bdc1-b3ce-4daf-a36c-feb74b64a82f"}]},"item_1583103233624":{"attribute_name":"Thesis/dissertations","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_awarding_university":"Yangon University of Economics","subitem_supervisor(s)":[{"subitem_supervisor":"Daw N Khum Ja Ra"}]}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Su Su Kyaw"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Other"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Thesis"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2024-07-01"},"item_title":"A Study on Radiation Protection Awareness Among Radiation Workers (Case Study: Selected Hospitals in Yangon) (Su Su Kyaw, 2024)","item_type_id":"21","owner":"20","path":["1582965722087"],"publish_date":"2024-09-30","publish_status":"0","recid":"9897","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["A Study on Radiation Protection Awareness Among Radiation Workers (Case Study: Selected Hospitals in Yangon) (Su Su Kyaw, 2024)"],"weko_creator_id":"20","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-09-30T07:53:49.096066+00:00"}
