Second is to find out accessibility of\nhealth facilities for taking TB diagnostic and treatment services and the last one is to\nfind out the challenges encountered by the health staff from Tarmwe Township in\nproviding diagnosis and treatment services for tuberculosis. Descriptive method was\nused for analysis and 303 households were randomly selected. A family representative\nwho is over 18-year-old and a medical doctor providing diagnosis and treatment\nservices for tuberculosis under National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) were\ninterviewed by using structured questionnaires. According to the findings, the\ncommunity well knows about signs and symptoms, diagnosis and treatment methods\nof tuberculosis disease but severity of disease and risk of infection were semiinformed.\nMost of the respondents have positive attitude and practice on tuberculosis\ndisease. So, it can be concluded that the study community have good knowledge\nabout transmission and diagnosis of tuberculosis but still need to improve awareness\nand knowledge about treatment of tuberculosis among community from Tarmwe\nTownship. Regarding barriers, 45% of the respondents faced problems taking service\nand most of them complaint about prolong waiting time for overcrowding and\noverlapping of service time with their working hours.
