Description
Abstract
Pure SnO2 and Al (2 mol%, 4 mol%, 6 mol%) doped SnO2 thin film on glass substrate were
successfully fabricated by using the spin coating technique. The samples were annealed at
500ºC for 1 hr. The film structures were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD). From the XRD
analysis, lattice parameters, unit cell volume and crystallite sizes of the samples are calculated.
According to the x-ray diffraction spectra, the samples were formed with tetragonal structure
and preferred orientation alone (110) plane. Furthermore, the XRD data, dislocation density of
the samples are also calculated. The surface morphology was investigated by scanning electron
microscopy (SEM). From the UV-visible spectrum, absorption coefficient and the band gap
energy of the samples are evaluated.
