Myanmar is \none of the developing countries in the world. Indeed SMEs accelerate the economic growth\nand social progress of the country. SMEs policies are essential to develop the economic \nsectors. This paper aims to explore the current status of SMEs and identify the role of SMEs \nin industrialization and to reveal prospects and challenges of SMEs in the development of \nindustrializations in Myanmar. Obviously, SMEs play a significant role in the process of \neconomic development, social and political role in employment creation, resource allocation \nand income generation, and promotion of employment. The descriptive method was used on \nsecondary data. It is found out the encouraging situations for an effective representation of \nSME interest. According to the findings from this study, the SMEs in the industrial sector the \nSMEs play a very important role in economic development.
